We have released a video (English Esther) re-released two singles (Odyssén and Tröstpriset) AND both Broken Swenglish EP’s are now available on SoundCloud.
Directed by Tobias Centerwall, it features wind-whipped, gang-like networks of young people roaming the streets of Stockholm at night.
The album was first recorded and released in 2005, and is now being re-released on INGRID both digitally and on double 10” vinyl.
Following the release of his debut long-player on Mexican Summer in 2011, New York City artist Xander Duell returns with new album ‘Wade Laiste’ on the INGRID label later this year.
Peter Morén’s 2010 album I Spåren Av Tåren is re-released on INGRID. Available everywhere digitally and on CD and vinyl (on sale!) in the INGRID SHOP.
For the past three decades, Max Von Sydow has been locked away in isolation, struggling to survive in his ramshackle home-studio, near the Stockholm suburb of Bagarmossen. His usual daily routine upto now has consisted of copious amounts of kåldolme (a Swedish cabbage roll), and hours upon hours of listening to obscure proto-synth 45′s from the early eighties.
His obsession with the likes of Mats Olofsson- and the collecting of vintage synthesizers- resulted in the recording of around nine hundred experimental tracks, which up till now have never been heard outside of his own apartment.
On Midsommar 2013, an intern from Stockholm’s INGRID found a cassette tape in a forest on the archipelago island of Sandhamn, whilst celebrating the Swedish traditional holiday with some friends. The tape was only marked with “M.V.S. – 1987“. Curiosity lead to the intern taking the tape home, to discover one side consisting of a poorly recorded monologue to an apparent ex-lover, and one side; the track now known as “Ugly Girls/Ugly Boys”.
After almost exactly a full year of pain-staking research from the INGRID team, we are proud to announce that by using certain information in the recorded ramblings, we have managed to track down Max Von Sydow- and began to re-record some of the most essential tracks in his vast but unheard back catalogue.
Featuring remixes by Yttling Jazz, Moby, Bastille and Hot Since 82.
Today you can buy or stream the new single from Little Majorette. Released worldwide on INGRID.
The song, originally recorded and released in 1967 by Swedish singer Lill Lindfors, was produced and arranged by Pontus Winnberg (Miike Snow, Amason). “Du Är Den Ende” is the official theme song to Tarik Saleh’s film Tommy , opening nationwide in Swedish theaters on March 14. Buy it on iTunes or stream it on Spotify:
Having borrowed production and rhythmic assistance from within the Ingrid family in the means of Björn Yttling and John Eriksson, the band’s second EP kicks off with single Cold Air, accompanied by a music video co-directed and edited by band member Ted Malmros (Shout Out Louds). INGRID is hereby proud to present its new crew sweater and accompanying t-shirt.
Conceptualized and made by Stockholm-based clothing brand A.O.CMS, the sweatshirt and the t-shirt are marks of belonging that underscores INGRID’s philosophy of independence and participation. They can only be worn by members and foot soldiers of the INGRID collective – and truly dedicated supporters of the Ingrid cause.
The sweatshirt and t-shirt makes their first appearances on members of INGRID at the Way Out West closing party.
